Virginia July 2023- Part 1

The next step was a lovely drive to Virginia.  We blasted High School Musical and Greatest Showman, some Praise and Worship and Disney hits.  Before long, we were welcomed into Virginia.

Shortly after entering Virginia we arrived at my dear friend, Barbara's house.  I met Barbara when I was a first year teacher at St. Thomas More Cathedral School.  So many wonderful ladies there become dear friends and mentors. Thank you Barbara and Jerry for opening your beautiful home to us!

We talked, played games, and had some lovely meals together. I cherish our friendship so much and am blessed by your compassion and love.  Can't wait for the next visit!

Next stop my college roomie and best friend, Bernadette (and fam)!

This lovely chapel is near their home

Their kids had animals at the fair, so we went to the fair!

After the fair, we headed to the community pool to cool off!

It was a blast!  I got to chat with my bestie (and I did go in the lazy river for awhile) while the kids went down slides, swam, belly flopped, and did all other things swimming.

June 2022 overview

DANCE recital!

My buddies in the audience

Two of Kayla's sweet friends (and their mamas) came to watch!

Irish dancing sisters

It's rare to get a picture with my kiddos that isn't a selfie, but with two other mama friends there, I got in a few.  Love looking back on these memories together.

Memories to cherish forever!

And that sweet smile. :)

playing in the crisp, clean front room between showings

We invited our priest over for dinner...and games!

beauty while on a walk

There is beauty all around.  You just have to look.

Fun at the lake with neighborhood friends

The For Sale sign fell down.  We weren't sad about it.  It almost felt like a sign...

Kayla snapped some cool cloud and mountain views

fun cups being used as fun vases

Just have to keep it real.  I have been nearly "living" in my car- I'm in it so often and it's a mess.  yikes!

My dear college roomie came to visit with her two oldest kiddos!

We got free tacos!

and hung out at the local lake

Chris let me pick up Kayla to bring her along.  She and Mari are the same age.

with my beautiful mini me.

Anything with honeydew melon seems like a little God-wink to me.

We tested out different Reese's styles and rated them.

Dear friends gave us money to go out to eat since eating at home all the time with showings happening was a bit of a logistical nightmare at times.  We went to Freddy's!

Beautiful sunsets

And beautiful snuggles.
I cannot even come close to explaining just what all these little moments mean to me.

He ALWAYS restores.
"I will not doubt God's promise in unbelief.  Rather, I am empowered by faith and give glory to God.  I am fully convinced that what you have promised you are also able to do." Romans 4:20

The neighborhood kiddos put on a Cinderella play

And out fav summer pastime- the POOL

Thank you for the bluetooth speaker, Aunt Shannon!  What a fun gift.  We've been hanging on the driveway, coloring with chalk, reading, and playing bocce ball in the front yard and listening to fun music.

Just some after the pool silliness.

Garage all packed full of stuff so that the inside can be open and lovely for showings

Eucharistic procession that was just beautiful

Another God-wink.
Honeydew fizz stick

Love you sweet girlie

Everyday this scene in my room made me smile and nearly cry.  I want to stay in my home, in OUR home, but I don't get a choice.  I can't keep it on my own and he gave up fighting for us and is fighting against us, so the home must be sold and all split down the middle.  Ugh.  The story of Solomon and the two women fighting over the baby in the Old Testament feels a lot more real.  I often feel as if my very heart is being ripped in half.

I LOVE these flowers.  I'm getting some and planting them in every yard at every house I ever live in.

These are fun too.

Savoring each sunset over our home.

Coloring with sidewalk chalk with friends

Our former neighbors moved to Florida but came back to visit!!

Just a sweet little rubberband shape note

He LOST his FIRST TOOTH!!!
Be still, my heart.

More fun with former neighbor buddies.

It was just SO sweet to get all these girlies together again.

and what joy to see my dear friend again.  I miss you, Britt.

selfie memories

Neighborhood BBQ!

God's promises abound.

I love these Colorado summer evening skies especially when they are viewed from this perspective.

beautiful little flowers around our front tree.

And that's a wrap on June 2022
