We made a scrumptious brunch of chocolate chip oatmeal muffins, eggs with sweet red peppers and seasonings, and BACON! Chris relaxed in the back yard with a beer and watched the girls run through the sprinklers. They also watered the plants together (Kayla's favorite activity to do with Dad apparently). Afterwards we headed to a nearby park and Chris helped Kayla practice her bike riding skills. She has been doing really well at home, so Chris thought it was time to head to a park where she could get more practice in a bigger area with some hills thrown in. She did quite well.

We did some fun photography to celebrate Dad!

The girls love their daddy.

After Mass in the afternoon, we picked up gyros (pronounced year-ohs)for dinner and Kayla and I made Daddy's favorite cookie (classic chocolate chip) for dessert. Daddy was convinced to play "the card game" (a Richard Scarry card game with vehicles and numbers) before bedtime. After we put the girls to bed, we enjoyed an ice cream treat and an episode of our latest Netflix find, Alias. Not the most crazy and exciting Father's Day, but a wonderful one nonetheless.
Can't wait to hear how the other dads in our lives celebrated the day. Happy Father's Day all you great DADS out there!
