Our Lady of the Rosary craft

October 7 (yep, that is today) is the feast of Our Lady of the Rosary.  I found this cute craft on Pinterest here and we made it our own.

I didn't have any coloring pages of Mary nor do we have a working printer right now, so I simply traced one from an image on the computer.  Probably not your best bet, but just don't tell my hubby that I did it.  :)

Let the kids color them and glue them to a piece of construction paper (a fairly bold and darker color works best)

Using a white crayon, add your rosary beads.  They should look something like this.

Decorate the Our Father "beads" with stickers (we used hearts).  Let the kids use glitter glue to decorate. Older children (like my 4 year old) can squeeze the glitter glue tubes onto the dots to make nice circles.  A younger child (like my 2 1/2 year old) can simply squeeze out glitter glue and rub it all over the paper using a paper towel like this.

Here are the finished products!  Once they dry, we can say a Rosary together and point to the glittery dots as we pray.

You might prefer a somewhat similar Rosary constellation project we did for the feast of St. Dominic.
