Halloween 2014

We were invited to a Halloween themed birthday party this year so we decided to choose a family theme. We had some fun ideas for both the Finding Nemo and Up movies, and finally decided upon Up.


Here we are at the birthday party last weekend.


Elise was originally going to be the dog, Dug, but we switched up at the last minute with a costume idea that ended up being perfect for her!
She was young Ellie, a dreamer hoping to be an aviator and go on adventures!


We only snapped one picture of Kayla by herself as Kevin, the exotic bird in South America because she posed quickly and didn't change her pose.


Ava is Russell, our little wilderness explorer, and she did indeed lag behind during the trick or treating, always a few steps behind, with her backpack flopping along, and her hat a little askew. She was perfect.





I thought about being the house and balloons or just the balloons briefly, but knew that idea would be terrible logistically, so I ended up as Dug the talking dog instead. Chris rounded out the theme as Carl Fredricksen, the old man who flies his house to Paradise Falls to fulfill his wife's lifelong dream of going there.
