Elise and I parked along the parade route to save a decent spot while Chris took the other two on the Disneyland Railroad (It has a few long tunnels that Elise doesn't like).
And then it was time to watch the Disneyland Christmas parade for the very first time.
I don't care if it was only a week after Halloween or not, I was super excited to see it, and we weren't disappointed. They do a fabulous job! I hope we get to see it at least once more before I go into labor and halt our trips to Disneyland temporarily.
Kayla especially loved the Nutcracker float and the marching nutcrackers. I was personally impressed that the nutcrackers were actually playing the trumpets (and really well, of course!). Every little detail. Wow.
On a somewhat related note, Kayla's ballet studio puts on a Nutcracker production (and gets a number of professional dancers, so you know it's going to be well done) each year apparently. When Kayla found out that the performances are all right around baby time (the weekend after my due date), she had a "great idea".
"Hey mom, if you go into labor, you can just go to the hospital to have the baby and Daddy can take Elise and Ava and I to see the Nutcracker. Doesn't that sound like a good idea?"
ha.
These were definitely Chris' favorite part of the parade, and a hit with all of us. They were cute and really funny to watch dancing and marching around. I mean, just look at them.
I loved the "skiers" and "ice skaters" - such a creative touch
Of course they have the Frozen float in the Christmas parade.
Too cute! Makes me want to make a gingerbread house and gingerbread boys asap, too!
How did they get invited to the Christmas Ball? hehe
The girls loved the Christmas princess ball!! Everyone was dancing and so festive!
Toyland!
Merry Christmas to all, and to all, a good night!
