Grammy and Granddad's Visit- Part Six- Newport Beach and Balboa Island
**This post is a bit late getting posted, but I'm finally getting the last post from Chris' parents' visit from last month up on here**
The final day that Chris' parents spent out here in California, we headed back to the Newport Beach area. We weren't exactly sure how the weather would be since there was some possible rain in the forecast. It ended up that there was no rain, and it was quite warm actually.

The final day that Chris' parents spent out here in California, we headed back to the Newport Beach area. We weren't exactly sure how the weather would be since there was some possible rain in the forecast. It ended up that there was no rain, and it was quite warm actually.
First we hopped on the little ferry and took a ride from Newport over to Balboa Island.
We took a nice walk around the island and saw some sights.

On the other side of the little island we stopped to get a Newport Beach/Balboa Island special (Frozen Bananas and Balboa bars). Right next to the food joint was a lovely and tiny Catholic church. We stopped in for a quick visit to say hello to Jesus. Such a lovely little surprise addition to our day.
After a nice walk back to the ferry and the ferry ride back, we enjoyed a bit more time on the beach.

We separated so we could return to our place and get the girls naps. While her sisters were sleeping, Kayla used her ingenuity to come up with a linkin' logs alternative using crayons. In case you were wondering it is really challenging to get them to stay like that. She was having some trouble, but persevered and solved the problem.
After naps, we headed back over to the vacation home that Chris' parents were renting for the week. We brought over tri-tip that Chris grilled there and I made some sides and later, a chocolately dessert. We had a movie night watching Veggie Tales "Beauty and the Beet".
Then I made everyone take pictures in the horrible lighting as my camera was about to die which means the flash wouldn't work...
Love that face that Dad B was giving one of the girls
Definitely the best in-laws you could ask for. Thanks for coming out and visiting! We'll get you some seafood next time, Dad. :)
I tried to get a picture of Chris' parents with our girls way too late in the evening. As you can see there wasn't a lot of cooperating happening from any of the kids except Kayla. haha.
We were sad to say good-bye to Mom, Dad, and the boys, but hope we'll see you out here again (and of course, in the 'Nati). Thanks a bunch for the Cincinnati foods and for making the trip out here to spend time with us. We made so many fun memories in the time you were here that are already fun to look back on and certainly will be for many years to come. Love you!

Nice Pics! Thank You for bringing us to Balboa Island it was very nice! Also Do you have a picture of the seal that we saw on the boat? Thanks, AmazingAndrewni
