After an already busy day, we decided to kick back at Disneyland for a few hours last night. I am always grateful for these fun little excursions with our little gals because they thrill at the sight of--well--EVERYTHING!
Last night some dear friends from my hometown (who also have annual passes) were randomly in town for a quick trip to Disney as well, so we were able to meet up with them for a few rides.
The biggest news of the evening was that Kayla convinced bribed Elise to ride on Big Thunder Mountain. She told her if she gave it a try, she would let her play with her Elsa doll all day today. And she did. She was pretty scared, but not out of control scared. A lot of whimpering, but no full-on meltdown. If you know Elise, that's a big step in the right direction. Perhaps in 4 more years she will go on it willingly and have a blast....but for now, she gave it a try and said she'd like to wait awhile before riding again.
Such a fun, amazing family!

We rode the Mark Twain (the boat in all the pictures) at dusk, but I snapped these night shots while I was feeding Sophie and sitting out with Elise who didn't want to ride on Pirates of the Caribbean with everyone else. Baby steps. :)
