31 Days of Gratitude- {Day 26}- Blessed Is She Sisterhood

If you aren't familiar with Blessed Is She, yet, you should check it out.  Faith-filled women coming together to share and encourage, to love and be loved.  Plus they are offering a free study guide for the devotions right now.  FREE!  Go grab one (check out the website above).

In addition to their website, they are also active on social media like Twitter (there's a chat tonight at 6pm (PDT) about self-care), Instagram (I love their #projectblessed photo challenges, which remind me to stop and be grateful each day), and Facebook (there are also private Blessed is She regional groups that you can search for and ask to join if you live in that area so that you can connect with ladies around you in person).  It's all about connecting, most especially where you live because the internet alone is not truly relational enough though it's a good place to start because it plays a large role in our society. Once you connect with ladies near you, all can begin finding ways to encourage one another (in more personal ways) in each our faith journeys.

Which brings me to today's post (or rather yesterday's....I'm just slow).

In our area of SoCal, we have formed a little group (it's always growing and open to more ladies who want to join- just let us know!).  We come from all around our county; a few even come a little further because--community.  It's important!  We meet once a month; usually it's the last Thursday of the month, but every so often everyone is just busy and we reschedule it to another day that month.  We all head to a park that is a fairly central location for all and the kids play and the moms chat and run after the kids.  :)

This collage used with permission from Amber Nicole.  :)

Some of these women I know through several different avenues (i.e. we are in the same homeschool group, attend Mom's group at a local parish together etc.), but some I have met solely through the Blessed Is She regional facebook page.  I love my wonderful, faith-filled friends, and I am so grateful for this wonderful community we have formed.  We laugh together, encourage one another, and pray for each other.  We share stories and struggles and swap tales of our mischievous kids.
What a blessing to be able to call these women my friends and be loved and supported by them in such a tangible and personal way.
haha, can you find Kayla, Elise, and Ava in this pic?
