Another Thanksgiving. Another delicious traditional American meal of turkey with all the fixings. Another opportunity to thank God for all the blessings in my life.
I am thankful for so many things--my rich Catholic faith, my loving family, good friends, and food and shelter. The list could go on and on. So I'll just share the ones nearest and dearest my heart (as if you expected me to do anything else)
More and more in this world, I am realizing how incredibly awesome my Faith is. It is rich, it is truth, and it draws me ever closer to an amazing relationship with a God who IS love. And because He is love, He cannot help but love me intensely and fully. I am also thankful for the opportunity to truly LIVE my faith in this world. The President of my Alma Mater, Fr. Terry had this to say recently and I so agree.
Along the same lines, I am thankful for Pope Benedict XVI. It is not easy to lead such a large flock and be entrusted with the 'keys of the kingdom' and I need to remember to pray more often for this holy and humble man who is constantly under spiritual and worldly attack. Benedicto!
I wrote a whole post about this amazing man yesterday, but Christopher is the most amazing guy a girl could ask for. I am beyond thankful to have him in my life and to be married to such a wonderful man.
Kayla keeps my life busy and silly. She chatters about everything and is getting so grown up I can hardly believe it. When I'm happy, she's always willing to join in on the fun, and when I'm sad, she never fails to have a hug to cheer me up. I love that girl.
Elise is our little goofball. She makes funny faces constantly--even her smiles are goofy and consequently, absolutely adorable. She is a character and we love her to pieces. She has so much to say to us, but so far it's mostly gibberish. I can't wait to hear all that she has on her mind--it's coming soon.
I am so thankful for our newest little angel, Ava. She is beautiful and sweet and loves to snuggle. A baby is truly an amazing gift from God and each time we welcome a new little one into the world, I am overcome. God is so good.
We bought a house last month! I am so thankful that Chris and I are able to finally share our very first house together. I am also thankful that the short sale process is over. Wow, was that ever LONG!
Don't worry, I'll have more thankfuls tomorrow...once I get on a roll, it's hard to stop. There's just so dang much to be thankful for!!! Praise the Lord!
