I'm totally jumping around sharing about our visits to several Utah National Parks en route to Colorado in April, but these photos are from our early morning in Bryce Canyon. It was FREEZING, so we only stopped at viewpoints to take in some of the beauty and watch the sunrise-- no hikes in this particular park this time around.
In this post, with pictures that Chris took on our higher quality camera, you see the canyons themselves, but don't get the dramatic sunrise beauty, so I snapped a few on my camera phone that showed more of the actual sunrise rather than the canyons. Chris took the camera down a ways and sat there as the sun came up taking all sorts of pictures, but the girls and I mostly stayed in the car and just sat and watched the sun rise above the horizon together. It was beautiful.
After the sun came up, we headed to some other viewpoints in the park to see more of the amazingness of the canyons there. But this was a short stop for us since we had a lot planned for the rest of that day already, so this was the only NP we visited on this trip that we didn't hike in.
Beautiful nonetheless and I'm so glad we stopped there to check it out, even if it was brief.
