Last week I had to bring all the kids with me to Kayla's ballet practice because Chris wasn't able to get home early like he sometimes is able to on Mondays to watch the others. Luckily the sun does come out and fairly frequently in the winter here in Colorado, so it's not usually gloomy, but the snow and freezing temps have a way of making it seem rather gloomy despite the sun shining at times when it's ongoing for weeks. Last Monday, not only did the sun come out, but the temps popped back up into the low 60s so I took the other 4 kiddos to a nearby park while Kayla danced.
Tried to get Sophie swinging, but it was going too fast. I did catch Kolbe's sweet little smirk.
We walked down to the nearby reservoir to see the geese and watch the sunset

That's ice over the the top of the water behind where the geese are swimming. It warmed up, but not enough to melt it all yet.
Time to go get Kayla from ballet practice. Good night, sun!
