Joyful Baby

It's nearly a week into January, and I'm really trying to reflect on seeking and finding the joy in each day, each moment.  St. John Paul II's quote, "We were made for JOY!" has already become a little catch phrase to remind myself of over and over throughout the day.  And the more that I LOOK for joy, the more I find it.
Hey girl!
Found your joy today?

Some days it's harder than others, but one of my other "go-to" joys is my baby.

Babies are often so full of smiles and giggles and toothless grins.

And over Christmas when I took these various shots of little Kolbe, I was reminded over and over again to live in each of these moments and dwell in joy.

Have a blessed day and may you find the joy in it.

7QT Friday- Fall colors

1. Fall has arrived!
and with it, some really beautiful fall foliage.  The tree above was at least four different shades and absolutely stunning.  To quote Anne Shirley (L.M. Montgomery-Anne of Green Gables) "I am so glad that I live in a world where there are Octobers."

2. Chris took some lovely fall shots too

3.
and the foliage and bold colors on the trees are beautiful against an incredible Colorado sunset sky as well....

4. Fall hike

because we like hiking and the fall-duh!

5. Tea parties

Since Ava received her tea set from Grammy and Granddad for her birthday there have been quite a few tea parties around here.  The girls even convinced the neighbor boy to join the fun one day.  And there was a fantasy tea party in which all the participants were fairies and other made-up creatures, like Elise who was an allicorn.  Our neighbors gave her one of their old Halloween costumes and she lived in it for like 3 days straight.  I was informed by Kayla that it's not a unicorn since unicorns don't have wings...it's an allicorn.  Whatever, it's hilarious no matter what you call it.

6. Painting pumpkins

Well actually they painted an assortment of squashes and gourds, but whatever.
They had a blast

7. Cuteness

You know I can't publish a post without a picture of a cute baby.

and these are some cute ones of Chris and the girls

Just the highlights of another week in the life of our Bissonnette fam

7QT- There can never be too many pictures of baby...

Just a fast (that's the point, right?) quicktakes post for Friday.

1. Tough

This week has been that.  Lots of ups and downs emotionally for this mama.  Everything in life was just tough for me to handle this week.  Nothing was even all that hard or big or crazy in the grand scheme of things.  I was just an emotional hot mess about so many things.

2. Rings

Probably the most stressful was losing my wedding rings.  Elise and Ava swiped them from my ring case and were playing with them (unbeknownst to me).  Later when we were leaving for a little evening hike, I noticed they were missing.  So out came my crazy/scared/worried.  And out come some of Chris' as well.  It wasn't a very pleasant evening as we worried and freaked out and looked EVERYWHERE for them.  They were found this morning (thanks, St. Anthony) hanging on these little hook things on our crib.....

But the whole week was not just me being emotional.  At least not in the negative sense.  I also had some emotional highs especially as I watched scenes like this....

3. Daddy and Kolbe

and this....

4. Kayla and Kolbe

and this....

5. Reading Corner

Is this not the sweetest?  I didn't set this up.  It started with Kayla and Kolbe and the others soon joined and it was too adorable.

and of course, I spent some quality time with Kolbe too....

6. Mommy and Kolbe

and there's always a sunset to share....

7. Sunset

(all sunset pictures on this post taken by Chris)

How was your week?  I'm hoping you found the bright spots even if it was a tough week over at your place as well.  God bless!
