January 2021

Well I'm only like a year behind...
January began with puzzles

and walks with the kids

We didn't get a chance to watch It's a Wonderful Life until after Christmas, but oh well.

Smoky snuggles

I listened to this audio book during Advent and finally finished it just after Christmas.

More Ticket to Ride!

and more flower pictures by Ava

These two joined me in bed a lot in 2020/2021 and it was adorable to wake up and look over at them.

In 2021 I got a lot better at saying yes to me.  To taking care of myself, doing things that bring me joy, giving myself permission to rest without guilt.

We saw a cross in the sky

And some amazing sunsets

The kids made self care lists with me too and started to do some better resting and relaxing.  Kolbe's number one was bubble baths

God is so truly amazing

the girls and I did some face masks together

Kolbe also enjoys footbaths

I turned 36
and my friends and kiddos totally spoiled me!
gifts!
Chris helped the kids make an amazing dinner and ice cream cake

my wonderful neighbor brought me a lovely hot tea as I was leaving to get my kids from school.

I was gifted a cheeseboard plus fun stuff for a charcuterie board from the kids.

the ice cream cake was amazing.
Mocha, chocolate ice cream with peanut butter and fudge sauce and oreos.

More self care for me.
coloring on the ipad with a foot bath.

I love flowers

Where's Waldo?

Oh look!  Another Ava selfie

Kayla helped me put together book shelves

One up (see it in the background) and one more to go!  Kayla (and Kolbe) were such great helpers. I have never put a bookshelf together and the only other time I ever tried ended in tears.
