Several years back we were all planning to head up to Jack Flat (you'll see more about what all it is momentarily) and then most of us got covid. So here we are two years later finally making good on our promise to take the kids up here together.
We did a TON of adventuring up near Kevin's. What a surprise....(haha)
We drove the Polaris up the rocky road to the river
And then we hiked down from the road to the river where there is this pool and natural waterslide.
They also liked jumping off the rocks

THESE are blackberries. I know that.
And they were delicious!
So my brother lives on the edge of a national forest and one day a peacock showed up on their property and never left. They don't know where it came from (maybe a zoo?) but it hangs with their chickens and dances for them.
Christy's family came up too. Sisters!

Kevin took a bunch of us up to a little "pond" (tiny mountain lake) to paddle board and canoe.
