The kids headed east with Chris to spend time with his family before his brother's wedding. They got to experience the fun of Kings Island.
Meanwhile I took a detour to the wedding to spoil myself and allow my hurting heart to get some much needed rest and rejuvenation. At home I hiked and hung out with friends before heading for a very brief trip to SoCal to be surrounded by the love of family and dear friends there.
My godfather and his wife picked me up at the airport and greeted me with a beautiful bouquet of flowers. As soon as we arrived at their home (where I was staying) Agnes put the bouquet next to my bed.
My dear friend and mentor Denise came over the next morning for breakfast.
my amazing friend, Steph picked me up and we spent the day together
But not before a picture with my lovely flowers
We had fun trying on dresses and acting like nerds.
Gosh I missed Steph! Thank you for the fun and silliness.
Next stop was the ocean!
Steph's kiddos collected sea shells for me to take home to my babies.
The ocean is my happy place.
I cannot tell you how it filled my soul with peace and joy just to be there for a few hours.
The following morning my dear friend Jacinta hosted a brunch
Kolbe's godmother who moved to Tennessee happened to be visiting SoCal the same week so I got to see her too!! More hugs from Jesus!
Thank you, Jacinta for being so sweet. My friend, Laura, dropped me at the airport and I was headed for my next stop--Scottie's wedding!!
Aunt Winnie met us at the tux shop before we headed out to drive a few more hours to the actual wedding destination!
Tux fitting.
Almost wedding time for this groom.

I finally got to hug my kids at the rehearsal. It was SO good to see my babies!

Just missing Emily.
Love this guy so much! Thanks for driving me to the wedding. Staying at the single people house made a really tough time of rejection feel so much better. You cannot know how much it warmed my heart to be surrounded with such love (and fun too!).
Got my hair did. ;)
Waiting for his bride!
Kolbe did his ringbearer duties well.
Totally adorable!!!

It was such a beautiful wedding.
Scott and Makayla, stay with Jesus. You won't regret it. HE is faithful, HE is love.
