August 2020 recap

After we got back from our CA trip, Chris was able to take the oldest three girls on a camping trip.  They stopped by the church that he helped renovate a couple summers ago.  Still looks beautiful.

And they had a lovely time out in nature together

Camping has its discomforts, but it's so much fun and so beautiful when you get to take nature in so easily right outside your tent door.

tree climbing

fun at the park with neighbor buddies

Colorado always has some lovely clouds

I tried my hand at making Indian food which was really fun

morning walks with Kolbe usually involve a park stop

The pool reopened (limited and by reservation only)

We all signed up for the same slot and had some fun together

This is Elise in a nutshell.
She filled a monkey costume with dress up clothes so it looks like a giant stuffed animal iteself.

I'm slowly learning how to relax.  I didn't realize this was a skill I didn't really possess.

Mexican food

I'm having a lot more fun with cooking these days

All the fires burning in the summer made for some interesting sun views

Kayla still likes to read to Kolbe (most of the time)

Sophie got her first ever camping trip with Daddy.

They had some sweet views

She was so excited to have this special time.

Just so beautiful

Back at home, I told the girls we could set up the big tent and have the neighbors over
It was harder than I thought it would be to set up a tent  (mostly by myself)

But eventually we got it up and the girls had a blast playing games, talking, and laughing

Kolbe and I played games together inside

Reading with Daddy

Chris found these funny gummies that you can make into funny faces

more Sequence

Chris got a new electric guitar
It looks good on him

Our dear neighbors and friends moved to Florida

You will all be missed.

And since I'm writing this months later, you are missed.

We could not ask for better neighbors.
Happy that though we are no longer neighbors, we are still great friends

explored a new (to us) park

Hiking our favorite local hike

I never stop loving it

And Kolbe got this new track that he LOVES

Kayla and our neighbor Rebecca practiced some babysitting earlier in the month too.

It was a good first run.

And that's pretty much August in a nutshell
