September 2022 recap

This will truly be a totally random assortment.  The first month of school especially since I'm teaching full-time  AND coaching volleyball  flew by.
Teaching a unit on magnets!

Turns out, I really like coffee.
And tea.
And liquid.

In September, the house sold and I suddenly had to look at houses ASAP.  This house we looked at had a lovely rose still in bloom

Kolbe probably took those!

These amazing ladies are all alumni from Franciscan.  They knew our situation and some of them live locally , but the pregnant gal in the tank top was visiting from CA.  They came to drop off gift cards for our family and I could not have been more proud to be a graduate of Franciscan.  Thank you for being the hands and heart of Christ to us. It is such a blessing to have friends near and far who reach out and offer love and support in various ways.  I am floored by the goodness of God.

My mom's cousin Anne and her husband John were visiting their daughter- my second cousin, Allison and her best guy, Ramiro so, of course we all got together for pizza.

volleyball BBQ

ice cream

sometimes Dove is just right.

The volleyball team had a cereal night after a game one night too.  There were extras at the end and Kolbe was not sad to take them home.

Homecoming dress shopping

some of the options we laughed a bit about (see Kayla above in the sequins which she was not a fan of except to laugh at).

The blank lacy one won.

Hillsdale - Grammar School session 2022

Last spring, I was hired to teach third grade at our kids' school for the following school year.  Our children's school is a Hillsdale affiliated classical school, so party of our training is at Hillsdale College.  It was a wonderful time to listen to amazing lectures from engaging professors and get to know my colleagues better.

Daniel Coupland was my favorite speaker, but there were so many interesting topics and presenters.  It was such a blessing to be able to step back into the classroom as a student.

And what a blessing to get to know these wonderful teachers and administrators better.

The arboretum was incredible.  So peaceful.

Hillsdale Library

afternoon walks in the sunshine with colleagues are the BEST by the way

So are afternoon Facetimes with my babies

Uno!!!

A cool moth I saw on my morning walk

Looking forward to this summer for more amazing presentations and time with great people.

The photo booth was fun

Heading home

Our flights were delayed on the way back and we had some trouble with one colleagues ticket, but eventually we made it onto the plane back to Colorado.
