December is shaping up to be quite the festive month. Since the first of the month, we have seen snow fall and actually stick to the trees and the ground for more than 5 minutes! We found Santa's sleigh and took a 'ride' in it. Though we didn't build our own snowmen, we found Frosty and his lovely wife and became fast friends. Weekly I have been getting together with some girlfriends from college and discussing advent themes and making Christmas-y crafts together. And next week begins "Christmas Week" where we will have parties nearly every night to enjoy family, friends, classic Christmas movies, carols, and treats. Starting this Saturday, family will be arriving for the season from CA. I have already begun Christmas baking with some new experiments, but I've still got some family classics saved for the days ahead. What a joyous season with family and friends, and what a beautiful way to prepare for the birth of the Savior. Truly He has brought JoY to the WorLD and continues to do it year and year.
