Christy's Baby Shower

This weekend we traveled down to Porterville because Christy is nearly ready to pop! My sisters (in law) Priscilla and Sara and my little sis Shannon, and I were put together a jungle-themed shower. When I say we put it together, I mean Priscilla did it and the rest of us helped out.

Priscilla hosted the event and turned her home into a little jungle for the event. When we arrived to help with the last minute set-up she had streamers hanging everywhere like jungle vines and animal print balloons, and even a monkey hanging from the chandelier. Sara and Priscilla took care of food items for a little brunch affair and Shannon made the yummy brownies. My domain was the party games. We had a Price is Right guessing game, wrote funny notes to Mom on baby diapers to make her laugh when she's changing baby, played BINGO while she opened presents, and competed in Name that Children's Book.

Becky (Priscilla's mom) won the Price is Right game, Jan won the diaper raffle, and my mom won Name that Children's Book. There were many winners in BINGO, but Jennie won the first blackout prize. The prizes shown are gift cards for SPOONS (frozen yogurt shop owned by my little bro and a friend)


It was a lovely event and Christy was showered with love and lots of sweet gifts for baby boy too! It's their first boy, so there were TONS of cute little boy clothing items. And it was a lovely time spent with family and friends!
