Not only did she give us comfortable beds to sleep in and provide not one, but 3 rooms so that it felt nothing like a hotel, but she purchased special, fun cereal for the girls and pressed both Skyline and Graeters ice cream gift cards into our hands just about as soon as we arrived. Chris' parents watched the girls so that he and I could enjoy a nice lunch together, but had they not done so, Aunt Winnie was offering to watch the girls so we could get out together as well.

She is full of life and love and threw a wonderful brunch at her place for us while we were there. I could really go on and on (and on and on...) about how generous and loving she is. She pampered us and loved on us and just made us feel as if we were the most special people in the whole world during our stay.
It was really wonderful to be able to sit and chat with her in the evenings after the girls had been put to bed. And when the girls were awake, she was reading them books and laughing and loving on them. They think the world of her because on our car drive home, I gave Kayla a paper to write about her favorite things about our trip and the first picture she drew was one of Aunt Winnie.
One evening two of her sons, Bill and Don, came over and visited. Don came earlier when the girls were still awake and they thought he was hilarious. Bill came later and Chris and I were able to chat with him which was really nice. It's so nice to be able to catch up with family that we see only every few years.
One evening we went to visit Aunt Winnie's husband, Uncle Bill. He was watching a pre-season Bengals game when we arrived. After a bit, Kayla decided to perform her VBS songs for him and went through about 5 of them, I think. He sat smiling and listening and tapping his foot to the beat. Ava joined in as best she could too, while Elise was content to watch Kayla's show. After Kayla sang for him, Uncle Bill even sang her a song, which Aunt Winnie said he used to sing to her, then their daughter, and then their granddaughters... it was really sweet.
We got a picture of the girls with Uncle Bill, but Ava was really not into having her picture taken by that time.

Thank you, Aunt Winnie, for being such an amazing hostess and just a truly wonderful woman. We enjoyed all the chats, laughs, and pampering and whenever you are ready for that trip to Disneyland....let us know!! We love you so much and had a blast with you! We miss you already.
