The Finding Nemo ride has been in refurb since we got our annual passes early in 2014, so this was our first time riding! Kayla loves it, Ava enjoys it, and Elise wouldn't even try it (no surprise there), so Chris and I took turns different nights taking the other two on so we could each ride as well.
We visited the Redwood Creek Challenge Trail where you can earn your Wilderness Explorer Badges like Russell in Pixar's "Up". We have a tradition of visiting a fire lookout tower in Northern California each year, but our attempt this year was thwarted by a huge wildfire. The weekend we went up north, the fire was spreading and the day we were to hike, the air quality was so bad, it wasn't recommended to go outside if possible, so obviously we didn't hike. We were sad to have to break from our tradition and miss seeing our Ranger friend, John. It's not a real substitute, but these pictures we captured in some of the towers on the Challenge Trail and with the Disneyland "Rangers" made us smile and remember the years past when we were able to take our hike and visit our favorite ranger.

Kayla still loves Pluto and will always beg to take a picture with him if the line isn't too long. :)

It's hard to get a good picture at night, but we stopped to say hi to Lightning McQueen the night we visited for Ava's birthday. Lightning noticed her special pin right away and told her Happy Birthday which made all three girls smile.
Kayla wanted to try the Tower of Terror again recently. She loves her little "daddy dates" going on all the bigger rides. Being pregnant, I miss going on some of them with her, but it's really fun to see her enjoying some special time just her and her daddy, and it's nice that they have each other so that they can still do some of that stuff too.
Headed off to Monster's University
We have been getting lots of exercise with our little trips to Disneyland here and there, having fun watching some of the shows, going on the rides, and spending time together. I'm glad we went with the annual passes instead of a couple days at Disneyland. The price is about the same, and we have more than paid for our passes anyway with all the trips we've made and all the fun memories we've made so far this year. Next week Chris and I are going on a belated anniversary date there for dinner (all the restaurants there get great reviews) and ride a few rides or see a show without the little ones in tow. It should be a fun evening and also a very different experience than our usual family evenings at Disneyland. Chris likes to joke that we visit so often, we'll probably end up delivering the baby there. I have a dual reaction of laughing and having a slight heart attack at the thought. :)
