April Re-cap

A quick April re-cap.  The first week of April many of us spent sick after our return from our roadtrip to Cincinnati.  Chris spent a good deal of time balancing work and nursing me who had several days where I felt just awful.  He's a keeper.

After we all recovered, we began to enjoy the beginnings of spring finally showing itself in the form of flowers popping up and many more days of sunshine and warmer temps.

We played family games.

Flowers and buds and fun outside.

We went to the library (that happens all the time), but I just love snapping pictures like the one above when they all sit down to pore over our library haul when we arrive home.

Kolbe and I just being silly.

Kolbe loves animals and loves to look for bunnies in our neighborhood and backyard.

Chris traveled to Cincinnati for work (and was able to get together with his parents and some of his siblings for a dinner out the first night of his trip) in mid-April.  Boy were we glad when this hunk returned home to us though.

Also matchy matchy by accident.

There's just nothing like Chris' hugs when you are a little blue (or really tired in Kolbe's case here).

Ava and Elise have been reading and reading books to me and they are both doing so well.  I'm so proud of all their hard work and progress this year.

And park fun.  One of the nearby parks recently renovated their playground, so of course we had to check it out.  The kids gave the new playground a huge thumbs up.

This is a fairly typical scene in the mornings.  Sophie and Kolbe love to come and jump on us in bed in the mornings when they wake up.  Kolbe always has his bottle(empty) and his puppy and he especially likes to snuggle Chris and kiss him repeatedly.  It's the sweetest.

Is that video not the cutest thing in the world?

And because it's Colorado, it was no surprise that we got a dumping of snow about mid-month.  Kayla went outside and made a snow lady.
The following day the sun was out and the temps were back up near the 70s, so she melted pretty fast....
