We're fortunate to be able to see my parents a few times a year since my father retired, and they've made it their full time job to visit all their kids/grandkids around the country as much as they can while still keeping their life intact in central CA with their kids and grandkids there.
In August, we brought my parents to the lovely Carmelite monastery for a quick little visit.
Beautiful windows in the chapel.

We're so lucky to have you two! Thank you for everything you do and everything you ARE to us.
The next stop that day was next door to the Littleton Museum. It's a working farm that shows how life was back in the 1800s in Colorado.

Kolbe loved all the animals.
We learned about canning
And bee hives
The gardens were beautiful and thriving.
The school master was there, so we went to "class" and learned how school was in the good ol' days.

The blacksmith was there as well, so we got a neat demonstration.

He had a lot of personality and it was fascinating.

And they sent us home with some produce from the gardens on the property!
Of course, there is always a lot of game playing when Nana and Granddaddy visit!
And reading.
And hugs.

Thanks again, Mom and Dad, for visiting and all the fun memories.
We love spending time with you guys!
