July recap- 2019

My July re-cap is fairly short because half of July the kids and I spent in California with my family, swimming and playing games.

But here at home in July, here's what went on....
CLUE games.

Sophie got a hold of my camera so I made silly faces at her.
She took pictures.

We got a membership for the year to the Children's Museum in Denver and spent a day there exploring.

The three oldest did the adventure course and thought it was great.

It goes way up high, but were they afraid?  Heck, no!

the bubble room was also a huge hit.

More fun adventures will occur here throughout the year, I'm sure.

A lovely summer evening with friends.  The kids swam in their pool and watched a movie on the projector screen in the backyard and the adults had drinks and hung out on the beautiful screened in patio that our friends just finished fairly recently.

Chris rejoined the Knights of Columbus and helped put up flags early on the morning of the 4th of July.  Because he was up so early he snagged us great seats for the parade a few hours later.

Kolbe hanging out with my friend's sister, pointing out all the items of interest in the parade.

Our friends Dan and Sarah ran the local 4th of July 5k.  Great job, guys!

The kids put on their own parade for the neighborhood.  We even grabbed a bag of candy for them to throw out to the spectators.
Neighbors in the cul-de-sac hosted a 4th of July potluck which was very fun.  The kids loved the sparklers especially.

4th of July fun

Love these kiddos so darn much.

Hanging out at the library and enjoying the fun new kitchen area for play.

We saw our first ever movie in the theater as a family: Toy Story 4. Everyone enjoyed the movie and the popcorn and soda experience immensely.

As soon as we returned from California, a package awaited us from Uncle Bob and Aunt Priscilla- the game Cover your Assets.  It was a hit with all the CA families and was played so much in the two weeks we were there that she sent us our very own.  The kids immediately made Chris learn to play it and played it over and over again with him, me, and each other.  Even sweet Sophie can play it and loves it.

While we were in California, Chris redid the main floor bathroom.

He put in a new sink and new light fixture and added some lovely decor as well.

Wow!  That's some incredible work.  Thank you, babe, for making our house look lovely and lovelier.
