Happy 6th Birthday, Sophie!

Dear Sophie Rose,
You are so wonderful and precious.
This picture was taken nearly a year ago since I'm so behind on this blog. The morning of your 6th birthday.  Balloons and smiles.

Daddy was out of town for his brother's wedding, but my college roommate and dear friend, Bernadette, came into town for the weekend so we got to celebrate with her.

You requested playing charades.
And you wanted me to play on your team.
What a delight.

Our carpool buddies got you a big cupcake (and smaller ones for your brother and sisters) and we sang you a big, silly, happy Happy Birthday.

You are so silly.  You are also so snuggly.  When you have a bad dream and want to jump into bed with me, you like to snuggle in close.  And usually by the end of the night, you have at least a leg sprawled over me.  Usually you've got a knee in my back and an arm across my face as well.  And I kinda love every minute of it.  You are so like me.  You just love to be close to those you love and snuggle up.

You are getting to be a little reader!  It is so fun to listen to you sound out words and see your eyes light up when you figure out a word.

You are a good friend.  At school you work hard to listen to your teacher and be very quiet so that your class can fill their bean jar and get a class party.  When we visit your cousins, you always make fast friends (all over again) with them and jump right into playing barbies, dolls, and whatever board games strike your fancy.

You love playing Trekking.  We played it a bunch at Nana and Granddaddy's during our visit.

You have the SWEETEST smile and it just lights our world up.

And YOU are sweet.
You love to bless others with your pictures and coloring.
You really are very good at art and you are so careful and detailed.  I love the way you take your time and make it exactly what you want it to be.  I also love that usually there are lots of colors.
I love brightness and color.

You adored these clip on earrings because you want to be just like your bigger sisters who already have their ears pierced. You love to be part of a pack a girls running around having a blast and usually giggling a lot too.

You are so very loved, Sophsie.
