Sitting up (for the first time November 23)

No I didn't say spitting up! If that was a milestone she's been proficient at it for her entire life. Sitting up, though, is really a rather amazing and extremely funny to watch milestone. We sit Kayla on the floor and she wobbles around trying to maintain her center of gravity. But then a toy or some other fascinating object gets her attention and in a matter of milliseconds, she is face-planting into the blanket she's sitting on. No matter, though, because Kayla has discovered that the face-plant is apparently worth whatever pain it inflicts, since she is suddenly within reach of the said object she was so intrigued with. Luckily for her, she's so short and chunky that she has a very small fall. plus babies are so flexible that she is practically leaned all the way forward with her face touching her toes by the time the face-plant happens anyway. Amazing stuff. I'm so proud of my little face planter...!
