Trip to Sacramento - September 2014

I am a little late posting this....but hey I've been a little late posting everything for about the last two months. Oh well.

In September we made one last trip up north to visit my grandmother before baby arrives. We knew that once October hit, we would be far too busy to fit much in with Ava's birthday and some other fun fall plans. November, too, will be filled with lots of fun, and the due date will be fast approaching by that point, so we knew it had to be September.

We also wanted to take our annual hike up to Duncan Peak to visit our ranger friend at the fire tower up there. Unfortunately a devastating fire in the area kept us from keeping that tradition alive for this year. The air quality was terrible, even at my grandma's for almost the entire time we were there.

But we got some nice time in with Grandma and were able to visit some friends in the area as well that we miss a whole bunch since moving down south.

The Saturday we were there was actually our 6 year anniversary. My grandmother made us a delicious meal of corned beef and cabbage (one of Chris' favorites that she would make when we lived in that area) and there was even her famous cherry pie for dessert. Thanks, Grandma, for a fun visit!
